How to create a personal wallet (Electrum)

Download the Electrum wallet application off the Electrum website.

Pick a download form of your choice from the available options

From here you will see a pop up that prompts the user to install the Electrum file. Click “Install” to begin the installation process.

Once the installation t has finished, you should then open the Electrum app on your device and click “Next”on the pop up screen.

If you want to choose the exsiting wallet, click the “Choose” tab, but if you are creating a new wallet, click the “Next” tab.

You will now need to choose the type of wallet you wish to set up. When you have decided, click the ratio buttons of wallet you wish to create and then click the “Next” tab to continue. For this guide a standard wallet will be created.

You will now be asked if you wish to create a new seed. As  this guide ios creating a new wallet, the ratio button of “Create a new seed” has been clicked and will be used to proceed with.

Once you have generated a new seed, it is encouraged that you keep this seed safe in a secure area as this will help prevent unothorized access to your wallet.

You will now be prompted to input your newly generated seed in order to make sure you have written it down properly. Once you have inputted it, click the “Next” tab.

You will now be prompted to create a password to encrypt your wallet keys. Input your chosen password twice and click the finish tab. From here you will now be taken to your newly created personal electrum wallet.
